The Birmingham Back Pain Clinic

Welcome to the Birmingham Back Pain Clinic.

The Clinic was established in 1998 and is located within a purpose-built, multi-disciplinary medical centre in South Birmingham, called the River Brook Medical Centre.

We aim to provide safe, effective treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, including back, neck and joint pain plus the treatment of sports injuries. The Clinic is operated on a private fee-paying basis, although most private health insurance companies (e.g. BUPA, AXA PPP, Aviva, PruHealth) will cover the treatment that we provide (click here for more info).

Clinic Director

The Clinic Director, Dr David Evans, is a fully qualified Osteopath, registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is regarded as a specialist in spinal pain owing to his PhD on the subject. David currently provides most treatment sessions at the Clinic, and is occasionally joined by other fully qualified musculoskeletal practitioners that follow a similar, evidence-based approach.

Visiting us

You do not need to be referred by your GP to visit us - you can come to see us first. Just phone 01214435500 to book an appointment. We usually see most emergency cases within 24 hours, so don't suffer needlessly!
